Kriton Arsenis is a Strategist for Nature. He develops roadmaps to advance nature restoration, Earth regeneration, and human coexistence with large carnivores. His work bridges policy, practice, and activism, grounded in more than three decades of multifaceted experience:
- 33 years of system-change environmental campaigning.
- 10 years of political leadership across all levels of European governance—as a Member of the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and the Hellenic Parliament—where he championed nature restoration and regenerative farming. He led the successful effort in the EU Parliament to block a proposed ban on traditional seeds, unblocked the EU Timber Regulation to curb illegal logging, served as Rapporteur of the EU’s groundbreaking LULUCF legislation on land use, land-use change, and forestry, and introduced Fish Stock Recovery Areas into the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy.
- 10 years of hands-on practice in biodynamic, organic agriculture, and permaculture.
- Academic background in Planning, Regional Development, and International Development from Harvard University.
Kriton brings visionary strategy grounded in practice—supporting movements, organizations, and communities to regenerate ecosystems, protect old-growth forests, restore water cycles, and rethink humanity’s relationship with nature.
