UnZOOing is a groundbreaking project that reconnects urban life with the untamed beauty of nature—ethically, in real-time, and without captivity. Through immersive public installations, UnZOOing brings live footage from trap cameras placed in wild forests—such as the old-growth Frakto Virgin Forest in Greece—directly into city spaces.
By projecting real-time images of wolves, wildcats, deer, owls, and other species onto building facades, public squares, and indoor exhibitions, UnZOOing transforms public space into a window into the wild. It offers a powerful alternative to traditional zoos, replacing confinement with coexistence, spectacle with respect, and enclosure with empathy.
This living, breathing art and science experience is part of a broader movement to rewild our imagination, challenge how we relate to other species, and inspire new ways of living together on Earth.
UnZOOing is part of reLife Earth’s mission to restore nature, shift perception, and bring about deep cultural change through storytelling, technology, and advocacy.
